Residential Curbing: Landscape Curbing for Grand Strand Homes

Concrete curbing gives your yard a clean, permanent edge around flower beds, trees and walkways. We shape every curb on site to fit the yard, then stamp and color it to suit the house.

Home Curbing Services: Everything in the Yard That Needs an Edge

  • Flower bed and garden borders

Continuous curbing that follows every curve of your beds and keeps mulch and rock off the lawn.

  • Tree rings

Round or free-form rings around palms, oaks and ornamental trees that protect trunks from mowers and trimmers.

  • Walkway and driveway edging

A clean, raised edge along concrete or paver walks and drives that holds the line between hardscape and planting beds.

  • Mower-edge curbing

A low profile your mower wheel can ride on, so the edge of the lawn gets cut in one pass with less string trimming.

  • Downspout splash blocks

Curbing tied into a concrete splash channel that carries roof water away from the house instead of washing out the bed.

  • Curb cleaning and resealing

A fresh coat of sealer on existing curbing to bring back the color and protect it from sun, rain and irrigation stains.

Less Trimming: A Cleaner Cut Along Every Bed

With a defined concrete edge, your mower has a line to follow instead of a ragged strip of grass and mulch. Pick a low profile and the mower wheel can ride right on the curb.

  • Fewer weekly passes with the string trimmer
  • Mulch and rock stay in the bed after storms
  • Tree trunks are protected from mower bumps

Downspout Splash Blocks: Send Roof Water Out, Not Through the Bed

A downspout that empties straight into mulch washes it across the lawn every storm. We pour a concrete splash channel that ties into the curb and carries the water past the bed edge.

Splash blocks are usually added while we're curbing the beds, so they match the curb style and color.

Homeowner Questions: What to Expect at Your House

Will curbing stop grass from growing into my beds?

It slows it down a lot. The curb sits a few inches into the soil and creates a firm barrier, so creeping grasses like centipede and St. Augustine have a much harder time spreading into mulch and rock.

Can you put curbing around my existing beds?

Yes. We follow the shape you already have or reshape the line first if you want smoother curves. Plants inside the bed stay where they are.

What happens to sprinkler heads near the bed edge?

Heads inside the bed are not affected. Heads right on the edge may need to be moved before we pour, and we will point those out when we look at the yard.

Does concrete curbing crack?

All concrete can crack. We cut control joints into the curb at regular intervals so any movement happens at the joint, where it is hard to see.

How do I keep the color looking fresh?

Sealer protects the surface from sun and irrigation stains. Resealing every couple of years keeps the color strong, and we can do that for you.
